Jim Good

James E. Good PE, LEED AP is the President and owner of JE Good Consulting Engineers, LLC, a MEP engineering firm located in Shrewsbury, PA. Prior to founding his own firm in 2003, Jim spent his earlier career serving in senior leadership roles with several prominent consulting engineering firms in the Baltimore and Washington area. His vast accumulation of education and experience as an engineer, both in design and commissioning, spans over 25 years and includes projects across the US and internationally. Jim’s firm, now in its fifth year of operation, provides the technical expertise of a large firm along with the attention to client service of a small firm.

Jim holds Professional Engineer licenses in 14 states and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Jim maintains a NCEES certification. His areas of expertise include low and medium voltage power distribution systems, power generation systems, building and site lighting, process controls, fire alarm systems, access control, intrusion detection, CCTV systems, and communication systems. He has over 25 years of electrical engineering design practice encompassing preparation of construction documents, engineering studies, electrical commissioning, electrical testing; preventive and predictive maintenance programs; and energy management. He has extensive experience in electrical commissioning, electrical testing; preventive and predictive maintenance programs; and energy management.

With over 2-1/2 decades of experience, Jim’s market experience includes manufacturing, industrial, mission critical, commercial, academic, government, and healthcare facilities completed in traditional design-bid-build, design-build, and other non-traditional delivery methods. His design build and construction experience provides for constructability and engineering reviews that cover more than just the technical and code related issues, but also include evaluations of construction phasing, cost analysis and comparison, and system coordination and constructability.
